Grace Park off-lead dog area and park improvements

We’ve improved the dog off-lead and park area at Grace Park on Hilda Crescent in Hawthorn to make it safer, more accessible and more enjoyable for all park users. Works were completed in October 2026.

About the project

1. We installed a new, accessible drinking fountain without a dog bowl at the playground
2. We installed a drinking fountain with a dog bowl at the off-lead dog area
3. We added a new bench seat, facing towards the western oval at the park
4. We added a chicane-style entry at the Power Street entrance.

What changed

Since first notifying you of these upcoming works in June 2026, we’ve reviewed the planned improvements.

We’re no longer installing mesh along the Charles Street fence line.
