What’s changedSince first notifying you of these upcoming works in June 2026, we’ve reviewed the planned improvements.We’re no longer installing mesh along the Charles Street fence line. TimelineWorks will happen between late-September and late-October 2026 (weather permitting).How this may affect your visitTo carry out the works safely, part of the dog off-lead area will be closed. You can continue to use the other areas of the dog park but please supervise your dog while works are underway. You can also visit the off-lead dog area at St James Park at 3 Burwood Road in Hawthorn. This is about a 15-minute walk or a 4-minute drive from Grace Park. Please note that the area has no enclosed fencing. The rest of Grace Park will stay open, including the playground, tennis and basketball courts.You may hear construction noise on weekdays between 7 am and 4 pm (excluding public holidays).Pedestrian access to the walking routes and shared pathways will remain open.Builder vehicles will use some parking spaces on Hilda Crescent, next to the park.More informationIf you have questions, please email [email protected] or call 03 9278 4444.
