Home visits to vulnerable people. Practical advocacy and referrals. Food pantries and kitchen garden produce. Community barbecues and welcoming social activities.From 1 July our latest round of Community Services Triennial Grant funding kicks in. For the next 3 years it will help 2 local non-profit organisations provide these services to the most vulnerable people in our community. We’re proud to support Access Health and Community and Boroondara Community Outreach in this way.Our aquatic and leisure centres come into their own in winter. These important community hubs are here to support your health and wellbeing. So if cool-weather outdoor sports leave you cold then I encourage you to step inside this season and see what’s on. You’ll find plenty of options for fitness, teamwork and relaxation.We’re focusing on men’s wellbeing this Men’s Health Week, which starts on 15 June. We’ve put together some great local events ranging from a sports writing masterclass to strength training and mindfulness.
