Content components I’m pleased to share that our 2026 Community Satisfaction Survey results reflect strong community confidence in Council. Our overall performance score in the survey, run by the Victorian Government, increased to 70 out of 100. This is up 3 points from last year and above both the statewide and metropolitan averages.The results highlight positive perceptions of Council’s community engagement, opportunities to provide feedback, environmental sustainability, and valued services such as libraries, waste management and public spaces. However, we are not taking these strong results and resting on our laurels. We are constantly looking at ways to better serve our community, whether through digital transformation, investing further in environmental sustainability initiatives, or improving active transport connections.We know there is always more work to do, and these results help us understand where we are performing well and where we can continue to improve.In late-June we adopted our Budget for the 2026–27 financial year. For me, this Budget is our commitment to ensuring that Boroondara remains a place where people of all ages can live full, connected and happy lives.As elected councillors, we carry the great responsibility of managing operating expenditure of about $290 million in the year ahead.However, this Budget was not created and finalised by us in isolation. In the spirit of transparency and good governance, a draft was shared with our community for feedback. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their views.
