About the upgradeThis playground upgrade aims to:improve accessibilityoffer new and different play opportunitiesbetter meet the needs of children and families, now and into the future.Key features of the new playground include: multi-level play unit with towers, bridges, ramps, monkey bars, inclusive panels and 3 slides. swings, including 1 toddler seat, 2 sling seats, 1 basket swing and 1 inclusive seat.a trampolinea new play bench in the sand pita nature play area featuring honey shop cubby, rocks, logs and education signs about pollinators. Other features to be included in the wider playground space include:13 new treesupgrading the drinking fountain to an accessible modeladding new seating and hexagonal platform benchesan accessible circular footpath around the playground.The following will stay the same because they are still in good condition:the sand pit and diggercarouselshade structurebarbecuepicnic sitting.Community consultationWe invited our community to share feedback to help guide the design for the new playground.We received feedback over 2 rounds of consultation in 2025 and 2026.
