Please note: We’re renewing Glass Street Kindergarten in 2026 as part of our early childhood facility renewal program. While works are underway, the kindergarten program will be temporarily relocated to the former Balwyn Leisure Centre at 230 Balwyn Road in Balwyn North.

Status

Works are expected to start in February 2026 and finish by late 2026.

About the project

We’ve worked closely with the kindergarten’s committee of management and teachers to develop a design for a high-quality early years facility.

The upgrade of the Glass Street Kindergarten building will enhance the overall amenity of the building and improve the facility to better support children, staff and families.

Works will include:

  • refurbishing the kinder room including new flooring and lighting
  • a refreshed entry
  • installation of acoustic panelling
  • a reconfigured office space to support the teaching team for planning
  • a new children’s bathroom and new staff bathroom
  • replacing the pergola roof.
