About Robert Cochrane Kindergarten
Robert Cochrane Kindergarten is a community run kindergarten, with over 100 years of history, located in the heart of Hawthorn.






The kindergarten runs exciting play-based sessions for 3 and 4-year-old groups, within beautifully maintained grounds. Experienced and highly regarded educators run a program with a strong sustainability and community emphasis, where parents and families within the kinder community are actively involved.

Per term 2022
3-year-old kindergarten program (11 hours per week): $920
4-year-old kindergarten program (15 hours per week): $880
Extended hours care (up to 6 hours):
- Term 1 – $290 per day per term
- Terms 2 to 4 – $370 per day per term
Per term 2023
3-year-old kindergarten program (12 hours per week): $820
4-year-old kindergarten program:
- Emus – 18 hours per week: $1280
- Wombats – 19.5 hours per week: $1470
Conditions
Term fees include:
- all program costs
- incursions
- excursions.
Concessions 2022
A Victorian government subsidy is available for eligible families that reduces the fee per term to:
- $502 for 3-year-old kindergarten
- $0 for 4-year-old kindergarten.
Concessions 2023
A Victorian government subsidy is available for eligible families that reduces the fee per term to:
- 3-year-old kindergarten Possums or Koalas Group: $0
- 4-year-old kindergarten Emus group: $382
- 4-year- old kindergarten Wombats group: $573
