About Robert Cochrane Kindergarten 

Robert Cochrane Kindergarten is a community run kindergarten, with over 100 years of history, located in the heart of Hawthorn.

The kindergarten runs exciting play-based sessions for 3 and 4-year-old groups, within beautifully maintained grounds. Experienced and highly regarded educators run a program with a strong sustainability and community emphasis, where parents and families within the kinder community are actively involved.

4-year-old kindergarten program (15  hours per week): $880

Extended hours care (up to 6 hours):

  • Term 1 – $290 per day per term
  • Terms 2 to 4 – $370 per day per term

Per term 2023

3-year-old kindergarten program (12 hours per week): $820

4-year-old kindergarten program:

  • Emus – 18 hours per week: $1280
  • Wombats – 19.5 hours per week: $1470

Concessions 2022

Victorian government subsidy is available for eligible families that reduces the fee per term to:

  • $502 for 3-year-old kindergarten
  • $0 for 4-year-old kindergarten.

Concessions 2023

Victorian government subsidy is available for eligible families that reduces the fee per term to:

  • 3-year-old kindergarten Possums or Koalas Group: $0 
  • 4-year-old kindergarten Emus group: $382
  • 4-year- old kindergarten Wombats group: $573
