About Alfred Road Kindergarten (ARK)

A positive, playful and nurturing environment where children learn, grow and have fun.

The program focuses on play-based learning. Children engage in music, movement, art, cooking and gardening in secure indoor and outdoor spaces. Alfred Road also participates in the Victorian Government Early Childhood Language Program and offers a Chinese (Mandarin) language program at no extra cost. 2024 session times

3-year-old kindergarten program

Wombats – 22 places – 12 hours per week

This program offers 12 hours of free kinder per week.

Koalas – 22 places – 21 hours per week

This program offers 15 hours of free kinder per week, and 6 hours of additional optional hours.

2024 fees per term

The Victorian Government Free Kinder initiative is available at this kindergarten.

3-year-old kindergarten program:

  • Wombats (12 hours per week): Free

4-year-old kindergarten program:

  • Koalas (15 hours per week): Free
  • Additional hours (6 hours per week): $690, or $620 for concession card holders

Early childhood education and care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standard (NQS) to:

  • promote continuous improvement in the provision of quality education and care
  • improve knowledge and access to information about the quality of services to help families make informed decisions about their child’s education and care.
