Evergreen Club’s weekly lunch is a longstanding tradition in Balwyn Evergreen Centre’s history, dating back to 1958. Come and enjoy the company of fellow members and friends while having a three-course meal, starting at 12:00 PM, followed by a concert with professional entertainers and afternoon tea from 1:15pm to 2:15pm. As always, we like to give you the freedom of choice: you can book both lunch and entertainment sessions, or just one or the other. Make new friends, keep active and stay socially connected at Balwyn Evergreen Centre. We're a dynamic and caring community centre delivering a range of programs and activities for seniors in Boroondara. We offer a full exercise program, weekly bus outings, a Supported Lifestyle Program for people with mild dementia/some cognitive decline, a fortnightly ladies' discussion group, digital learning, table tennis, special events, guest speakers and information sessions, door-to-door transport, allied health podiatry and physio, and more. There's something for everyone and our aim is to keep seniors living full and independent lives in their community.

Our popular ladies' group meets fortnightly to catch up, enjoy a light and nutritious lunch and hear from a range of guest speakers.

The Senior Divas are a vibrant bunch who look forward to getting together and discussing all sorts of things. This group puts the 'social' in 'social support group'. ​Not only are The Senior Divas a great way to keep social connections firing, but it also offers crucial community engagement. BASSCARE North Balwyn Seniors Centre

A one to one session with our Exercise Physiologist focusing on your individual needs and how to reach them.

Ideal for those needing some tailored help meeting their health goals.

Classes are held at BASSCARE Ashburton Seniors Centre.

Chinese seniors get together for activities such as table tennis, mah-jong, English language lessons, Tai-Chi, choir singing and other cultural activities. Runs on Thursdays. Cost: $15 annual membership.

Members enjoy fun exercises and cultural activities to maintain good physical, mental health and preservation of Vietnamese culture. Activities include: yoga, light exercise, Zumba Gold, lunches, events, choir, traditional dance, line dancing, table tennis, chess, excursions. Programming available on the website. Cost: $20 annual membership

Did you know we offer table tennis? It's fun, active and a great way to enjoy some friendly competition. You can play singles or doubles, including mixed, so bring a friend! The sessions are casual and run each Thursday from 1pm-3.30pm.

The cost is just $5 per session and you pay as you go. There's no need to book, just come along and give it a go, just BYO paddle! Don't forget your first session is FREE!

For the more serious players, there's also a Wednesday evening session. For more information, please call or email the office.
