If you're a Boroondara resident, you can borrow an e-bike for 2 weeks to see if it suits your lifestyle.The trial program begins on 28 July 2025 and will run for 18 months. Who can participateTo participate you must:live in Boroondarabe over 18 years of ageknow how to ride a bike competently and have your own helmetunderstand and sign a legal waiverbe insured through Bicycle Network’s bike riding insurance. Our neighbourhood house staff will help you set this up.Why participate By choosing to ride an e-bike for short trips, you’ll contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. Using e-bikes is fun, easy and can be a great choice for:travelling to worktaking children to kindergarten, preschool or primary schoolgoing to the shopsexploring local destinationsphysical activity and recreationgetting outside in nature. They also benefit older adults because they require less physical effort than a non-electric bike.
