Get ready for lively tunes and dance-worthy rhythms with the return of Summer in the Park!
Our brand-new festival hub in Camberwell Civic Precinct will be home to the best free Friday night entertainment.
Head to Zorba in the Park on Friday 13 February to catch the irresistible Mediterranean energy of one of Melbourne’s favourite Greek bands, Estudiantina of Melbourne.
Also new to the lineup - Melbourne world-music collective Gusto Gusto comes to you fresh from stages like Glastonbury, Woodford, Dark Mofo and Port Fairy Folk Festival. They bring big brass, wild grooves and electric rhythm to the park making Friday 27 February a night not to miss!
Beyond the Camberwell Civic Precinct hub, there are plenty more free events to enjoy in our beautiful parks.
Celebrate Lunar New Year in the Park at Balwyn Park with evocative music and the ever-popular Lion Dancers. Experience stunning traditional dance by performers from local Jin Han Dance School and a spectacular Hong Kong-style double Lion Dance finale. Bring a picnic and relax on the grass as the festivities unfold at this family-friendly event. Hosted by the charismatic Yo Zi, this vibrant celebration is not to be missed!
Get your Latin dancing shoes on as Riversdale Park comes alive for this year’s Jazz in the Park. Vibrant mambo 14-piece ensemble Havana Club Orquestra revives the irresistible sounds of 1950s and 60s Cuban/New York dance music. Let the band transport you with their driving percussion, rich vocals and big horn section – and get lost in the groove of mambo, salsa and cha-cha-cha in this full-blown summer fiesta.
Canterbury Gardens will then transform into a vibrant Italian piazza complete with roving musicians for the festival finale of Opera in the Park. Performing La Dolce Vita, expect your favourite soaring Italian arias, romantic duets, sparkling ensembles and a few delightful surprises along the way.
All events are free and for all ages. There’s no tickets or booking needed.
