School holidays: what’s on

The school holidays are upon us again, and we’ve put together an exciting, creative and cost-effective program to keep your children entertained.

Explore local parks and gardens, or try a creative workshop. Older children can drop into the Boroondara Youth Hub for cooking classes, pool and table tennis tournaments and a trivia night. Our school-holiday sustainability program runs at CERES Community Environment Park in Brunswick East.

For more information about all the activities on offer, visit our School holiday activities page or call (03) 9278 4444.

World Autism Awareness Day

World Autism Awareness Day is celebrated on 2 April each year. It gives an opportunity to build understanding, promote acceptance and celebrate people with autism.

To mark the day, families with children and young people with autism are invited to join sensory-friendly events across our community, including the following.

These events have been designed with children and young people with autism in mind.

You can further your understanding by borrowing a book from the list of resources curated by Boroondara Libraries.

Visit our Celebrating World Autism Awareness Day 2023 news item for more information.
