You can apply for a temporary parking permit for registered tradespeople working on your property if your street is in a residential parking permit area.
You can apply for short term 4-week permits or long-term parking permits.
Who can apply
The property resident, property owner or the tradesperson can apply.
This permit is only for tradespeople working on established properties, not new construction builds. For parking permits for new builds, apply for a Works Zone Permit.

Timeframe
We require 10 working days processing time.
Permit fees
Short-term permit (4 weeks or less): $88.50 per permit (maximum of 2 permits).
Long-term permit (more than 4 weeks): $29.50 (per vehicle, per week).

How to apply
Apply for a tradesperson parking permit
If you need more than 2 short-term permits, you can apply for any additional permits as long-term permits.
After you apply, we'll get back to you within 10 business days with either:
- an invoice for your permit
- a request for more information
- an explanation of why we can't issue you a permit.
If you receive an invoice, you'll need to pay it before we send you the permit.
Lost or damaged permits
To replace an existing tradesperson parking permit, complete the lost or damaged permit form.
Replacement fee: $15.50.
Submit the form by email to [email protected], by post or in person to our council offices.
You need to pay the replacement fee when you submit the form.

Related permits
If you need other permits (e.g. out of hours, footpath occupancy), additional fees may be charged.
If work is to be done on a Sunday or where noise restrictions apply, you will also need to apply for an Out-of-Hours Work permit.
