Content components Apply for Report and Consent You must apply for Report and Consent when your building plans:do not meet the siting requirements in the Building Regulations 2018, part 5 (siting matters)affect community assets, infrastructure or amenity (non-siting matters).For siting mattersThe siting requirements in the Building Regulations 2018 cover:the maximum height for your property or fencehow far your property must be set back from the street or side/rear boundary (minimum setback)the distance your property can overlook or overshadow another property.You must apply for Report and Consent for siting matters when your plans do not meet these requirements.Download an application form, view application fees and find more information on our Siting matters Report and Consent page.For non-siting mattersNon-siting matters are when your plans meet the Building Regulations 2018 requirements but the building works affect:community assetsexisting infrastructureamenity.You must apply for Report and Consent for non-siting matters and we must approve it before you can:build in a flood-prone areademolish all or part of a buildingbuild a structure above or below public facilities, or beyond street alignmentbuild a hoarding over a street alignment.Amend a Report and ConsentIf your design changes after we have approved your Report and Consent application, you need to apply for a variation.Download and complete the relevant Variation to Report and Consent form (under Downloads, below). Include your amended designs and a detailed description of the changes.Submit the form and supporting information by email to [email protected] or in person to our council offices at 8 Inglesby Road, Camberwell.Designs that do not comply with the siting regulations must be presented to neighbours again for further feedback. You can collect feedback yourself, or we can do it for a fee. Find out more about feedback from neighbours and fees on our Siting matters Report and Consent page.We’ll assess your application within 15 business days.Extend a Report and ConsentIf you need to extend your Report and Consent and you haven't been issued a Building Permit, apply to extend the Report and Consent before it expires.Download and complete the relevant Variation to Report and Consent form (under Downloads, below).
