Our Sustainability Changemaker program is an immersive, tailored course designed to empower you to take climate action and create sustainable change in your community.

What you’ll gain

A CERES-accredited micro-credential.

What you’ll experience

The program involves 10 weekly, 3-hour sessions held at Council’s Camberwell offices.

The program is delivered by CERES School of Nature and Climate, experts with 43 years in sustainability education.

The next course will begin in September 2026. Dates, times and registration details to be confirmed soon.

Topics include

The course will cover topics including:

creating and delivering community-led climate action
behaviour change practices
communications and consultation skills
Indigenous culture.

Who is eligible

You will need to meet the following 3 criteria:

You are 18 to 35-years-old
You live, work or study in Boroondara
You can commit to the full 10-week program of weekly in-person sessions in Camberwell.

Cost

90% of the course fees are funded by us and you will pay $119.60 to participate. This includes a light dinner at each session.
