Renew a Disabled Parking Permit

Due to a systems upgrade, our Disabled Parking Pernits eForm will be unavailable between 6pm Friday 25 January and 7pm Saturday 26 January. We apologies for any inconvenience.

How and when you renew your Disabled Parking Permit depend on the code displayed on your permit (Code A, B, C or D). To find out more about the different types of Disabled Parking Permits, see Disabled Parking Permit categories.

Code A and Code B permit

If you have a Code A permit (driver or passenger with a disability) or Code B permit (passenger with a disability), your permit is valid for 3 years.

When your permit expires, you can renew the permit for another 3 years.

Code C and Code D permit

A Code C permit (organisation) is valid for 12 months.

A Code D permit (temporary) can be valid from 6 months to 2 years (according to the length of time specified by the doctor in the application form).

If you need to renew a Code C or Code D permit when it expires, you have to reapply for a permit.

Renew a Code A or Code B permit

You need to renew a Code A or Code B Disabled Parking Permit within 28 days of the expiry date.

Renew a Disabled Parking Permit online

Or pick up an application form from Council offices and submit by mail or in person to Council offices

With your application, you'll need to provide:

  • Disabled Parking Permit number (for example, DP12345)
  • Name, address, email address and phone number of the permit holder
  • Date of birth of the permit holder.

When we receive your renewal application, we'll send an email to confirm (if you renewed online) and then send your permit to your nominated address. We'll also update your details on our customer database.
