VIDEO TRANSCRIPT-North East Community Hub: Community Ambassador site visit

[MUSIC PLAYING IN BACKGROUND THROUGHOUT VIDEO]

Title slide:

North East Community Hub: What our Community Ambassadors are looking forward to when it’s complete.

William Bell, Local Resident/NECH Ambassador:

I’m quite impressed by the number of health services that you’re planning. That seems a marvellous feature as the area ages and people are not able to use cars as frequently to go hither and yon. The idea of coming to one centre to get more than one service, that’s fabulous!

Frank Di Cieri, Local Resident/NECH Ambassador:

Well, there’s a range of facilities that are available to residents that weren’t previously available. There’s the child care, there’s the physiotherapy. It’ll be good to see the library open, and the lawn sounds pretty enticing.

Gwenda Foard, Secretary/Balwyn North RSL:

I was just overwhelmed to think that so much is going to go on the site.

Graham Foard, President/Balwyn North RSL:

It’s the completion of a dream, really, to see the site being used for, you know, the community rather than just for the RSL. It’s been what we wanted all along and it’s going to happen. So that’s fantastic.

Gabriele Crema, President, Greythorn Traders Association:

We’re looking forward to an increased level of activity in the area. Obviously a lot of our clients are looking forward to using the services here, and we’re hoping for a whole lot of new people who will discover us. Obviously it’s caused an upgrade in the area, which is also great.

Gwenda Foard, Secretary/Balwyn North RSL:

The thing I’m looking forward to is the opening of this beautiful new hub.
