Step 5: Complete your applicationWhen applications are open, they are submitted online on the SmartyGrants website. Make sure you complete the budget requirements using the budget form in SmartyGrants, noting that:all budget costs must be justified all items listed in the budget must include a description of the itemsome applications may receive partial funding.Supporting documentsBe sure to attach all supporting documentation. Your application cannot be assessed until we receive all these documents:Australian Business Number (ABN) latest copy of financial statements (income statement and balance sheet)minutes of last Annual General meetingPublic liability insurance to cover the members, volunteers and the general public, as appropriateformal quotes for all services and products over $2,000 must include the suppliers ABN and the GST amountletters or emails of support (optional).Step 6: Submit your applicationOnce you have completed the above steps and you’re happy with your application, you can finalise your submission through the SmartyGrants website.Step 7: Application assessmentOfficers will assess applications against the assessment criteria outlined in the guidelines to make funding recommendations. Assessments will be reviewed by the Manager Community Development. Recommendations are provided to the Director Community Services for approval under Instrument of Sub-Delegation from the CEO to Director Community Services (or equivalent position from time to time).Step 8: Results are announcedWe’ll let you know if your application has been successful via email.Step 9: Grant paymentsIf you’re successful, you’ll receive your grant funds within 28 days of your fully executed funding agreement (or as otherwise specified).Step 10: EvaluationSuccessful applicants will be required to provide a written acquittal report annually (or as otherwise specified in the funding agreement) against agreed performance outcomes, as part of the decision-making process for continuing the funding. This is done online through the SmartyGrants website.
