On this page Content components Applications for the 2026–29 Triennial Operational Grants will open at 9 am Monday 1 December 2025.Triennial Operational Grants support operating and program costs associated with the delivery of services, celebrations and events in Boroondara.Triennial Operational Grants are part of Council's Community Grants program, which funds activities that respond to the social, cultural, recreational and environmental needs of Boroondara residents. The objectives of the Community Strengthening Grants program are to:increase participation of residents in their communityincrease inclusion and representation of under-represented groups and issuesdevelop innovative approaches to local issuesassist groups and volunteers to develop skills and build capacityencourage the sustainability and better governance of community organisationsencourage partnerships between local organisations and the development of local community networks.Boroondara Community PlanThe Boroondara Community Plan (BCP) is our key strategic document, and the activities and projects funded through the Community Grants program reflect its themes and aims.Following the adoption of the refreshed BCP by Council on Monday 24 October 2025, the Community Grants Policy 2025 has been updated to strengthen this alignment.Previously, applicants selected from one of 6 grant streams.
