Coronavirus update 13 March 2020

Stage 4 restrictions: what's closed and what's open.

We encourage responsible pet ownership and care about animal welfare and protecting our community's environment.

If your pet's behaviour becomes a problem, you may receive a fine (infringement notice). Some examples of offences include your dog being off-leash in a leashed area, unsupervised, unregistered or registered without a tag. Penalties vary depending on the nature of the offence.

If you've received an animal infringement notice, you'll need to pay it within 28 days or you'll incur additional costs and legal proceedings may be started.

How to pay

You can pay online from 2 business days after your fine was issued.

You'll need your Infringement Notice Number.

The amount of the fine must be paid in full.
