The Boroondara Citizen of the Year awards recognise people in Boroondara who have made an exceptional contribution to our community through leadership or commitment to improving the lives of others.
There are 2 award categories:
- Boroondara Citizen of the Year award.
- Boroondara Young Citizen of the Year award.
Award criteria
The person you nominate must have:
- made an exceptional contribution to the City of Boroondara community (a single achievement or one that has gone over many years)
- demonstrated exceptional leadership that served as a role model to others or possessed stand-out skills, talents and attributes.
Eligibility
To be eligible for either category, you must be:
- an Australian citizen who lives, works, studies or volunteers in the City of Boroondara
- nominated by someone else (self-nominations are not accepted).
To be eligible for the Young Citizen of the Year category, you must be under the age of 26 on 26 January 2025.
Current Councillors or officers of City of Boroondara are not eligible for our Citizen of the Year Awards.
