Victoria’s Youth Fest continues all month with special events, awards and more in Boroondara celebrating the achievements and contributions of young people in our community.
Find details of all events below.
Anyone aged 10 to 25 can come to the Youth Hub in Hawthorn. It’s open weekdays from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. During school holidays it opens at 10:00 am.
After a warm welcome from our friendly youth workers, inside you’ll find couches and beanbags, pool and table tennis tables, computers, a recording studio, free Wi-Fi and a lizard called Risky. Besides relaxing, there’s a ton of events, workshops and groups to get involved in.
Errol (pictured below in the studio) has been a regular at the Youth Hub while he studied at uni. ‘There’s always something going on, whether it’s fun activities or programs where you can learn skills,’ he says. If you’re ever feeling a bit lost or need advice, there’s always someone here to talk to.’
‘Youth Hub Live’ gathered talented young musicians for a recent live recording in our fully-equipped studio at the Youth Hub.
Visit our Youth Hub Live page to watch the full playlist of 4 exciting local artists – Lucy Joy, Rachel Rose, Hypnotic State and Dysmetria – and see photos in the image carousel below.
If you’re a young performer and live, work or study in Boroondara, become a member for free to book the studio and rehearsal space.
