We collect autumn leaves along selected streets in the City of Boroondara from April to July. We select these streets based on the size, species and number of trees.
Our autumn bulk leaf collection starts at a different time each year, depending on when different species of trees drop their leaves.
This service replaces regular residential street sweeping from April to June, with both services running in July.
How you can help us with leaf collection
- Avoid parking on the street on your sweeping days.
- If you can't move your vehicle, you can help by sweeping leaves from under parked vehicles the night before. Please remove any sticks, branches and rocks as they will damage the machinery.
- Don't rake or blow grass clippings or leaves onto the road after the sweeper has passed by.
We don't sweep or collect leaves from your garden.
Leaves from your garden and any leftover leaves can be:
- put in your food organics and garden organics (FOGO) bin
