Aussie Aths is a health and fitness program for Aussie kids aged 5 to 13 years based on athletics. It’s about learning to go faster, higher, further in a fun environment that kids of all abilities will enjoy.

Aussie Aths develops the ABCs – agility, balance, coordination and speed of every child in a fun, game-based program. It’s not standing in a line, it’s not lining up for a race. Think of it like swimming lessons, but for running.

Aussie Aths is great fun and will help Aussie kids be more athletic in everyday life and in whatever sport they love.

Sessions take place at multiple locations across Glen Iris.

Play basketball with our Canterbury Cougars Basketball Club, we play and train in the Boroondara Council and have been part of the community for 25 years!
We have teams across the following age groups: U9s, U10s and then all the way up to U23s. You can be as young as 6 when starting at our club in U8s.
We welcome boys and girls of all ages and abilities. We provide coaches and training venues for all our teams. We are proud of our fun, inclusive and skills based club!

The NAB AFL Auskick program makes learning to play AFL fun, safe and easy for boys and girls. Through weekly coaching sessions, boys and girls will learn the skills of the game in an exciting, social and safe environment. If your child is over 5 and in years Prep to Grade 2, Camberwell Sharks recommends a fun dose of Auskick to start off their footy career!

Have you got a boy or girl aged 3-5 who would like to try rugby? Then we’ve got the perfect intro to one of the world’s most popular sports, right here in Boroondara!

Our Little Rugby Tikes program is specifically designed to help little hands learn the basic skills of catching and passing, little legs learn running and weaving and little hearts fell the joy of scoring a try and making new friends.

Rugby at any age is little more than that after all!

Cost is just $150. New players are very welcome at any time.

The library stocks approximately 1,800 toys which cater for children from birth to 12 years of age, in addition to children with special needs.
Our coordinator is experienced in assisting you to select toys for your children based on their current stage of development, enriching the learning experience play facilitates.

How quickly does the novelty of an expensive new toy wear off for your child? Our library has over 1,000 entertaining and stimulating, new and vintage toys available all year round for the price of just one or two new toys. Toys are suitable for ages 6 months to 8 years+

Free to try for Joey and Cub Scouts for a few weeks to see if it suits.
A really fun program of activities for all ages.
Joeys: ages 5 (must have started Prep) to 8, meet Tuesdays from 5:20pm to 6:20pm
Cubs: ages 7.5 to 11, meet Tuesdays 6:30pm to 8pm

Boroondara Libraries membership gives you free access to the Story Box Library which features videos of engaging Australian stories read by some of Australia's finest storytellers. Cheeky, charming and a whole lot of fun!
