Ferndale Park sportsground is suitable for AFL and cricket.

It features:

  • AFL goal posts (winter-season only)
  • a synthetic cricket pitch (summer-season only)
  • cricket nets with 3 lanes.

The oval perimeter is 375 m.

Casual bookings

Bookings require a minimum notice of 5 full business days.

Sportsground lighting is not available for casual bookings.

Booking times

7 days including public holidays.

April to October: 7 am to 6 pm.

November to March: 7 am to 8 pm.

Public facilities are for all visitors to use. They are not included as part of a booking.

Parking and transport

The car park is off Glen Iris Road.

The venue is 1.3 km from Burwood train station. Bus 612 stops out the front of the park (Valley Parade/Glen Iris Road)

Bookings fees

Casual sportsground booking: $73.50 per hour.

Restrictions

  • Studs and boots are not allowed on our sportsgrounds for casual bookings
  • No golf activities are allowed on any of our sportsgrounds.

Casual sportsground bookings do not include:

  • line marking services
  • access to power.

Sportsground closures

We may need to close a sportsground at short notice if harsh weather affects the condition of its surface. For example, if a sportsground becomes flooded, we will close it until it dries. See Sportsground closures for details.
