Take Boroondara Library Service with you everywhere you go! 

To download the new app search for 'Boroondara Library Service' in the Apple App Store or Google Play, then select the app with the City of Boroondara logo. 

With the app you can:

  • browse the catalogue, view our curated reading lists, and place reservations
  • manage your loans, renewals and reservations
  • link and manage your family members’ library cards
  • store a digital version of your library card
  • create and manage your own reading lists
  • use the reading tracker to log reading time and recently read items
  • scan a book’s barcode to see if we have a copy and place a reservation
  • access eBooks and audiobooks all in one place
  • discover what’s on at your local branch and across Boroondara.

The Spydus Mobile app is being discontinued

From 31 July 2026, the Spydus Mobile app will no longer be available. Make the switch to the new app today to begin exploring everything it has to offer.

Please note: the Spydus Library app is a different app altogether, that isn’t linked to our library service. Only the Boroondara Library Service app will allow you to continue digitally browsing, borrowing, reserving and renewing after 31 July. 

Accessing your saved lists

Unfortunately, your existing saved lists won't be accessible from the new app, but don’t worry, they’re not lost. You can still view them anytime through the library catalogue:

  1. Log in to the catalogue using your library card number and PIN 
  2. Select ‘View all saved lists’.

Want to create new reading lists? The Boroondara Library Service app includes a ‘My Lists’ feature where you can save the books you’d like to read. You can also use the app’s ‘Reading Tracker’ to record your reading sessions and keep track of your progress.
