  1. The permit is issued in accordance with the Parking Permit Policy [PDF], available on
    Council’s website.
  2. The permit is only valid for parking in the permit zone in the location specified on
    the permit.
  3. The permit will not be deemed valid unless displayed on the dashboard with
the permit details clearly visible at all times from the outside of the motor vehicle.
  4. Permits are only transferable to employees of the permit holder; however, the
permit must not be used for or displayed by a heavy vehicle or long vehicle as
defined in Rule 200 of the Road Safety Road Rules 2017, or a caravan, boat,
motor home, bus or any earthmoving vehicle or equipment.
  5. The holder of a permit is required to conform with all other parking restrictions and
prohibitions and where applicable pay the specified parking fee.
  6. The permit does not absolve you from any statutory offences as laid down under
the provision of the Road Safety Act or any regulations thereunder.
  7. If the permit is lost, a statutory declaration must be provided to Council’s Local Laws
department within 7 days of forming the belief. The permit must be retained by
the permit holder at all times whilst not in use.
  8. The issue and continued use of a parking permit shall be at the absolute discretion
    of Council.
  9. The permit may be revoked where it has been found to be used contrary to the
conditions specified. There is a requirement for the permit to be returned to
    Council if this occurs.
  10. Council reserves the right to cancel the permit without notice if Council forms a
reasonable belief that the permit is being used contrary to the conditions.
  11. In accordance with legislation, the use of parking spaces in streets to which parking
permits apply may be suspended by members of Victoria Police or by authorised
    Council Officers.
  12. The permit must not be photocopied, or otherwise reproduced. Photocopied or
reproduced copies of the permit are invalid and will be subject to infringement
    notices.
  13. The permit holder must not:

    (a) Charge any person a fee to use the permit; or

    (b) Accept any consideration (monetary or otherwise) from a person for the use
    of the permit; or

    (c) Allow the permit to be used in any manner which contravenes the Parking
Permit Policy and/or conditions of the permit.
