Content components Are you a community organisation looking to have a stall at the next Boroondara Volunteer Expo?Expressions of interest are now open until Friday 13 February 2026.Express interest in the Expo The 2026 Boroondara Volunteer Expo is a free event, where volunteer-involving organisations have the opportunity to connect with hundreds of potential volunteers.When: Wednesday 18 March 2026, 1 to 5 pm.Where: Hawthorn Arts Centre, 360 Burwood Road, Hawthorn.What is the Boroondara Volunteer Expo?The Boroondara Volunteer Expo connects prospective volunteers with local community organisations.Each organisation has its own stall (table and chairs provided) and prospective volunteers make their way around the Expo to speak with organisations about their opportunities.Why participate in the Expo? Connect with hundreds of prospective volunteers.Recruit volunteers for vacant roles.Raise the profile of your volunteer program.Network with other volunteer managers. Exhibitor eligibility To be considered as a Boroondara Volunteer Expo exhibitor:be a member of the Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centrenot promote volunteer opportunities which lobby the local, state or federal governments about particular laws, policies, practices or decisions of governmentshave valid personal accident and public liability insurance covering volunteers.Selection processAll organisations interested in exhibiting at the Boroondara Volunteer Expo must complete the expression of interest form.Once expressions of interest close, we will assess all expressions of interest and will rank entries against our selection criteria.First-round offers will be given to organisations based on the number of stalls available at the event. Organisations will be asked to accept or decline this offer.Organisations who do not receive a first-round offer will be placed on a waitlist and will be notified if a place becomes available.EOI order of preferenceFirst preference will be given to organisations who are located or operate a volunteer program in Boroondara.Second preference will be given to organisations who are currently promoting volunteer roles with the Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre.Third preference will be given to organisations who have recently promoted volunteer roles with the Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre.Any remaining places and/or positioning on the waitlist will be determined based on an organisation’s level of engagement with the Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre (e.g. regular attendance at network meetings and workshops demonstrates high engagement).Consideration will also be given to the type of volunteer roles and organisations exhibiting at the Expo, including new BVRC members, to ensure there is a variety and diversity of volunteer opportunities on offer to attendees.Contact usFor more information, contact the Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre at [email protected] or on (03) 9278 4550.
