About Joe H Henry
Métis singer-songwriter Joe H Henry possesses a voice described as 'powerful as a freight train', a potent instrument that delivers his blend of early rhythm and blues, soul, and alt-country, enriched by folk-inspired lyrical depth.
Drawing from a life encompassing experiences from a homeless train-hopping youth to a homesteading father of 5, Joe's songwriting is thoughtful and his storytelling captivating, forging a strong connection with diverse audiences. This depth of experience resonates in every line he sings.
Joe's debut EP, Keep the Fire Burning (2023), garnered significant recognition, including multiple award nominations. His eagerly awaited second EP, Real Things, releasing in 2025, has already received critical praise, securing placements on SiriusXM North Americana and charting on the Indigenous Music Countdown. Joe H Henry is based in Nova Scotia, Canada. He travelled to Australia in 2024 to join the esteemed line up at the Woodford Folk Festival in 2024/25 raising the roof at the infamous Woodford Bluestown stage.
