What’s on at the expo
- See the latest electric tech for yourself — from induction cooktop and wok cooking demos to e-bike trials.
- Chat with more than 50 exhibitors about rooftop solar and batteries, heat-pump hot water, double-glazed windows, electric vehicle charging, insulation, heating and cooling, and how to transition off gas appliances.
- Stop by the Ask Me Anything hub, where you can learn how to read your power bill or ask an expert about electrification.
- Tune in to thought-provoking panel discussions and speaker sessions to give you the knowledge to start making electric steps in your life. We’ll cover topics of home energy assessments, heating and cooling, retrofitting apartments, electric vehicles, e-bikes and solar and batteries!
- Get the lowdown on government rebates to help reduce upfront costs, along with estimates of long-term cost savings and insights about the health benefits of all-electric homes.
- Check out the electric vehicle showcase, where you can chat to experts and see under the hood of a variety of different electric vehicles, including an operational police car provided by Victoria Police!
- Join interactive children’s activities and make a free smoothie with your own pedal power.

How to get here
Ride your bike
Ride your bike to the festival to receive the ‘green carpet’ treatment, including bike parking and a free bike repair and safety check.
If you’re curious about e-bikes, bring your helmet, there will be e-bike test rides available.
Public transport
- Train: Alamein, Belgrave and Lilydale lines - arrive at Glenferrie Station, walk 2 minutes south along Glenferrie Road then turn left into Burwood Road.
- Tram 16: Melbourne University to Kew - get off at stop 73.
- Tram 70: Docklands to Wattle Park - get off at stop 32 and walk north on Glenferrie Road for 9 minutes until you get to Burwood Rd. Turn right and walk one minute east along Burwood Road.
- Tram 75: City to Vermont South - get off at stop 32 and walk north on Glenferrie Rd for 9 minutes until you get to Burwood Road. Turn right and walk one minute east along Burwood Road.
Car
Public parking is limited behind the Centre, accessible from Kent Street or Oxley Road. Parking is also available a short walk away on Serpells Lane and Swinburne Avenue. Restrictions apply.
