Planning the event Once you have an event concept in mind, visit our Planning an outdoor event on council land page for an overview of how to plan an event in Boroondara. Timelines vary based on event size, location and risk. Finalise site plans, permits, risk assessments and communications.Attend pre-event meetings as required.Finalise site condition reports and/or audits of the venue.You can download templates for these and more at our Event planning resources page. 2. Delivering the event Manage bump-in/out, staff, contractors, performers and the event itself in line with approved plans. 4. After the event Inspect and restore the site.Debrief with stakeholders (including us).Complete evaluation and/or incident reports as required. If the event is to be held again in future, review and update all plans and documentation to reflect lessons learned. Events often grow or evolve over time, so it's important to capture improvements, feedback and changes in risk or scale within updated plans.
