The City of Boroondara's Active Ageing Services provides low level aged care services through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
If My Aged Care assesses you as having more complex needs, you may instead receive a Home Care Package (HCP). There are 4 different levels of package available from this programme.
Package services are purchased from private providers. My Aged Care will help you to find an appropriate package provider for you.
Some services available under a Home Care Package (these are not provided by Council) include:
Allied health and therapy services: such as nursing, podiatry, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech pathology, social work, transition care.
Aged care residential homes: also known as aged care homes or nursing homes, offer different levels of service for a range of different health and lifestyle needs which may include fully supported accommodation, personal care and health care, such as physiotherapy, podiatry and nursing.
