Our guide for seniors is a helpful resource for older residents to stay healthy, connected and active in the community. The guide includes information about:

  • Financial planning and retirement: find a list of free services to help you manage your finances, including advice on working while retired and accessing government benefits and superannuation.
  • Medical care and personal safety: find information on planning for future medical care, setting up an enduring power of attorney and getting emergency health advice. We also list options for personal safety devices and crisis services, with a focus on online safety.
  • Community resources and support: there are many programs and services like monthly concerts, free film screenings, volunteering opportunities, social support services and transport assistance.
  • Lifelong learning and staying active: we encourage you to take part in courses and activities through our community houses and seniors clubs. We promote physical activities like walking in local parks and using the Seniors Exercise Park, as well as access to leisure centers and pools.
