Rooms for hire at Kew Seniors Centre

Kew Seniors Centre licenses its rooms to seniors groups each week. When the rooms aren't being used by their regular occupants, they're available for limited casual hire between 8 am and 10 pm daily.

These rooms fit up to 120 people for:

  • functions
  • presentations
  • meetings
  • workshops and similar.

You can have access to a kitchen if needed.

Rooms at Kew Seniors Centre are all on the ground floor and are fully accessible.

Main Hall

The Main Hall is a large room with hardwood floor. It can be used as one large room or 2 smaller rooms by dividing the space with the operable walls.

Cost to hire the Main Hall

The fees for hiring the Main Hall are either:

  • Standard rate: $73.50 per hour, minimum 3 hours booking
  • Community rate: $36.75 per hour, minimum 3 hours booking. Community rate applies to Boroondara community groups and organisations.

Games Room

The Games Room is suitable for meetings and programs. Thanks to its robust hard floor, it can also be used for exercise classes.

  • 6.4m by 9.3m
  • Seats 30.

  • Hard flooring suitable for exercise, yoga, table tennis, dancing, etc.

Cost to hire the Games Room

The fees for hiring the Games Room are either:

  • Standard rate: $16.40 per hour, minimum 3 hours booking.
  • Community rate: $8.20 per hour, minimum 3 hours booking. Community rate applies to Boroondara community groups and organisations.

Meeting Room

The Meeting Room is a small room suitable for meetings or activities.

  • 3m by 6.5m 
  • Seats 12.

  • 12 chairs
  • 2 tables
  • Heating
  • Air conditioning
  • Access to boiling water dispenser in kitchen
  • Accessible toilet with shower.

Cost to hire the Meeting Room

The fees for hiring the Meeting Room are either:

  • Standard rate: $8.20 per hour, minimum 3 hours booking. 
  • Community rate: $4.10 per hour, minimum 3 hours booking. Community rate applies to Boroondara community groups and organisations.

We don't take bookings for parties as the rooms aren't suitable.
