About Cara Armstrong Kindergarten

A kindergarten with a beautiful outdoor area for an indoor/outdoor program that provides for exploration, experimentation and the development of social skills. 

Children are respected and valued as contributors to their own learning through a child-centred program involving practical play-based experiences that help foster a sense of wonder.

Selection criteria variation

Cara Armstrong has a Parent Participation Policy that affects the selection criteria. If you have served on the Committee within the past 5 years please complete the relevant section on the enrolment application. Contact the Cara Armstrong Enrolment Officer for more information.

Session times 2020

In 2020, children can be dropped off at Cara Armstrong at 8.30am, however, kindergarten programs do not start until 9.15am.

3-year-old kindergarten program

Fees - per term

3-year-old kindergarten program: 

  • Bumblebees (10 hours 30 minutes per week): $1100
  • Extended hours session (3 hours per week): $350

4-year-old kindergarten program: 

  • Butterflies (17 hours 15 minutes per week): $995
  • Extended hours session (3 hours per week): $350

Additional costs

Working bee levy: $250 per year - refundable against term 4 fees after participating in a working bee or equivalent.

Concessions

Victorian government subsidy is available for eligible families that reduces the fee for the 4-year-old program to $0

No concessions are available for the 3-year-old kindergarten program.
