The Victorian Government will provide new details of proposed Activity Centres around Ashburton, Riversdale and Willison train stations. This is part of the government’s second phase of community consultation on Activity Centres in these areas.
This follows a first phase of consultation held by the government in November 2025 which you can read more about in our Update on Victorian Government’s next round of Activity Centre plans news article.
The Victorian Government’s ‘Activity Centres Program’ is a set of planning changes to allow increased housing density in areas of Boroondara. These planning changes intend to enable more people to live in areas close to public transport.
The government is expected to seek feedback on Activity Centre details for areas around Riversdale, Willison and Ashburton train stations. Further details of how to give your feedback to the government will be provided on this page soon.
Find out more about Activity Centres and what changes may mean for your neighbourhood. Join our planning team at one of our upcoming information sessions — details to be announced soon.
The Victorian Government is also seeking expressions of interest from people who want to join community reference groups. Input from these groups will help shape the future of the Riversdale-Willison and Ashburton activity centres. Learn more about these groups and complete your expression of interest before the 8 February deadline on the CRG Expression of Interest page.
