On Wednesday 11 February, the Victorian Government opened its second phase of community consultation about its Activity Centres Program for areas around Riversdale-Willison and Ashburton train stations.

Draft maps, details of proposed building heights and other information about the government's proposals are now available for the community to provide feedback on until Sunday 22 March 2026.

Activity Centres re-cap

The Victorian Government’s ‘Activity Centres Program’ is a set of planning changes to allow increased housing density in areas of Boroondara. These planning changes intend to enable more people to live in areas close to public transport.

Community reference groups

The Victorian Government has sought expressions of interest from people who want to join community reference groups. Input from these groups will help shape the future of the Riversdale-Willison and Ashburton activity centres. Please note that expressions of interest have closed for people wishing to join community reference groups.
