On Wednesday 11 February, the Victorian Government opened its second phase of community consultation about its Activity Centres Program for areas around Riversdale-Willison and Ashburton train stations.
Draft maps, details of proposed building heights and other information about the government's proposals are now available for the community to provide feedback on until Sunday 22 March 2026.

This follows a first phase of consultation held by the government in November 2025 which you can read more about in our Update on Victorian Government’s next round of Activity Centre plans news article.
The Victorian Government’s ‘Activity Centres Program’ is a set of planning changes to allow increased housing density in areas of Boroondara. These planning changes intend to enable more people to live in areas close to public transport.

The Victorian Government has sought expressions of interest from people who want to join community reference groups. Input from these groups will help shape the future of the Riversdale-Willison and Ashburton activity centres.
