Victoria Park – park area | City of Boroondara

Victoria Park is suitable for celebrations and small community events, as well as casual gatherings.

The north end features a barbecue with covered seating and tables alongside one of the area’s most exciting playgrounds. There is also a smaller playground with a barbecue and covered seating and tables at the south end.

You can book a grass area in the park for your exclusive use.

For this space, you can apply to bring:

up to 20 chairs and 3 tables
a marquee or arbour covering up to 40 square metres.

Booking fees

Alexandra Gardens, Canterbury Gardens, Surrey Gardens	$170 per hour (includes exclusive use of the rotunda). Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
Central Gardens, Wallen Road Reserve and Maranoa Botanic Gardens	$170 per 4-hour block. Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
All other parks and gardens	$170 per 4-hour block. Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
Event bond	minimum $200

Booking times

7 days including public holidays.

April to October: 8 am to 6 pm.

November to March: 8 am to 8:30 pm.

The accessible playground at Victoria Park offers accessible sensory, active and nature play features for children of all ages and abilities.

These include:

a revitalised bluestone wall and embankment
an adventure trail with embankment climb and 6-metre-high pyramid climb
a family-friendly learn to scoot, skate and ride pump track
a fitness station
a sandpit with inclusive play edge
a build-your-own-cubby feature with an accessible frame
a water pump with a log and creek channel
flying fox with accessible harness seat
wheelchair-accessible in-ground trampoline.

A wheelchair-accessible barbecue is located at the park.

The accessible playground at Victoria Park offers accessible sensory, active and nature play features for children of all ages and abilities. This includes:

flying fox with accessible harness seat
wheelchair-accessible in-ground trampoline.

Accessible car parking spaces are in the public car park in front of the north oval.

Accessible toilets

There are accessible toilets at the toilet block in the cemetery.
