Boroondara Volunteer Skills Bank
The Boroondara Volunteer Skills Banks connects skilled professionals with community organisations seeking support with flexible or short-term projects.
A skilled professional from the Skills Bank could assist you with your organisation’s website, marketing, IT or even fill a board or committee position.
We have created a toolkit designed to equip, inspire and encourage community organisations to create skilled volunteer projects and roles.
Learn how to connect with volunteers on the Skills Bank when you become a member of the BVRC.

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre runs free workshops for volunteer leaders and is an endorsed partner for Volunteering Victoria’s Continuous
Development Program. Program participants can achieve ‘points’ for participating in our recognised professional development activities.
To learn more about the program, see Volunteering Victoria - Continuous Professional Development.
Our bi-monthly network meetings bring volunteer managers of community organisations together to network, share experiences, raise issues and discuss challenges.
List your organisation on our Volunteer in community organisations page to raise awareness of your volunteer program and hear directly from interested volunteers.
The national standards contain benchmarks to help organisations attract, manage, recognise and retain volunteers, and to manage risk and safety.
Volunteering Australia also publishes an annual State of Volunteering report that details trends, demographics, challenges and successes in the volunteering sector in Australia.
Not for Profit Law
Not for Profit Law has developed a number of resources to assist organisations to understand their legal obligations and manage risk in relation to volunteers.
