About Climate Action Grants
Applications for the 2024 Climate Action Grants are now open.
These new grants provide financial support up to $10,000 to eligible not-for-profit community groups for projects, services, programs and activities that strengthen the community’s capacity to reduce emissions, and/or adapt to the impacts of climate change.
Grants could support initiatives such as:
- a project that makes it easier for our community to access goods and services to make their homes more environmentally sustainable
- an activity that supports the uptake of sustainable transport at a workplace
- an education campaign responding to a sustainability challenge, such as replacing gas as an energy source
- a service that helps vulnerable residents make their homes more resilient to climate change impacts.
The grants are part of our Annual Community Strengthening Grants program, and deliver on our Climate Action Plan implementation plan. Find out more on our Climate Action Plan hub.
Applicants can submit more than one application, but the combined total of all grant applications must be no more than $10,000.

If you have a project idea, we encourage you to have a chat to our officers first. They will help you shape your application to give it the best chance of success.
