Public Notice - Proposed sale of Council property at 1 Cherry Road, Balwyn

Council is proposing to sell its property at 1 Cherry Road, Balwyn, shown on the plan below (the Property).

The Property is described as Land in Plan of Consolidation 381360D and is contained in Certificate of Title Volume 12350 Folio 115. The Property has an area of approximately 587m² and comprises of a former Maternal and Child Health Centre.

The Property is no longer required for Council purposes and Council is considering its sale.

Council is inviting submissions on the proposed sale of the Property. You can make a submission before Tuesday 22 September 2026.

• provide your submission in person at the Council offices, 8 Inglesby Road, Camberwell.

How we manage submissions and make our decision

We manage all submissions and personal information in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.

Council will consider any submissions received before deciding whether to proceed with the proposed sale of the Land.

If submissions are received, a further report will be presented to Council to enable consideration of those submissions and determination of whether to proceed with the proposed sale.
This notice is in line with section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 and Council's Community Engagement Policy 2025-29.
