Boroondara City Council (Council) acting under clause 9(1) of Schedule 11 to the Local Government Act 1989 (Act) gives notice under section 223 of the Act that it intends to permanently restrict the access of vehicles on a section of Reserve Road, Camberwell as shown hatched in red on the plan below (Road) by placing and maintaining any permanent barrier or obstruction on the Road. As part of its proposal, Council intends to maintain pedestrian and bicycle access to the Road.
In accordance with section 223 of the Act, a person may make a submission on the proposal. Any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must do so in writing by 9 am on Monday 2 November 2026.
Submissions may be emailed to [email protected] with the subject “Submission – Proposal to permanently restrict vehicle access to part Reserve Road” or may be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be hand delivered to Council’s office at 8 Inglesby Road, Camberwell during business hours Monday to Friday (with the envelope labelled “Submission – Proposal to permanently restrict vehicle access to part Reserve Road”) or posted to the following address:

Submissions may also be uploaded to the Your Say Boroondara website where you can also complete a written submission in a survey format.
Any person making a submission may request to be heard in support of their submission. Any person requesting to be heard is entitled to appear in person or by a person acting on their behalf before a meeting of Council’s Services Delegated Committee to be held on Monday 9 November 2026 (or as otherwise advised by Council) at a time to be determined by the Chief Executive Officer.
All submissions will be considered under section 223 of the Act.
