Three Boroondara parks are in the running to receive Victorian Government grant funding to bring park improvements to life. 

To secure grant funding, we encourage our community to vote by Monday 3 August 2026 during Round 2 of the Pick My Park program.

You can use your 3 votes on all 3 Boroondara parks open for selection:

• Grace Park in Hawthorn: replacing ageing benches with accessible, compliant seating for all users
• H. A. Smith Reserve: a new multi-use court (half basketball and netball court) for informal sport and social play, an upgraded fitness area and new path connections to improve access and create a more welcoming and functional space
• St James Park: community-supported upgrades delivering accessible furniture, improved amenities and enhanced planting to create more welcoming and comfortable spaces. 

The Victorian Government will announce the successful parks in September 2026.

What is Pick My Park?

Pick My Park is a $30 million Victorian Government program that will improve access to quality parks and open spaces for growing communities.

Round 1 of Pick My Park invested $17.8 million in 97 park projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria. 

Round 2 of Pick My Park will support even more park projects across a bigger area.
