Each year, we celebrate the centenarians of Boroondara, residents of our community who are 100 years and older.

This year marks the 22nd annual celebration of centenarians in Boroondara. We’ll be hosting a special high tea for our centenarians on Tuesday 29 April at Hawthorn Arts Centre.

This year also marks Australian entertainment legend, Pete Smith’s 20th anniversary hosting this event with his trademark warmth and charm.

We’re looking forward to celebrating our oldest residents in Boroondara and their contributions to our community.

Do you know a local centenarian?

We’re putting a call out to ensure we can invite as many of our local 100-years-plus residents to join us at the celebration.

If your family member, friend or neighbour is a centenarian and they’re not already on our invitation list, please contact our Active Ageing team so we can invite them to our high tea celebration.

Centenarians can invite 2 guests to attend with them, including family members, friends or neighbours.

• check if they have already received an invitation from us
• seek their consent to provide us with their name, age and postal address so we can post them an invitation.
