Get ready for Youth Fest 2026

Join us this September for Youth Fest, with gigs, awards and more happening across the month to celebrate young people. 

What’s on

• From 1 to 30 September: Young people aged 10 to 25 can access $15 tickets to any of our Kew Court House Live gigs. Use the code YOUTH15 at the checkout. 
• 18 September: Join us at our Hard Launch event featuring R&B covers of artists like Olivia Dean and Cleo Sol. Enjoy a relaxed seated gig, then join the band for a jam session during the second set. Sign up on the night or come along to support your friends! 
• 19 September: Catch Lucy Joy headlining a showcase of emerging local talent. Blending indie-folk with rich band arrangements, Lucy has become a regular on Melbourne’s live music scene. Come early for a free music industry workshop with alt-pop artist Georgia Fields. Learn how to create a standout Electronic Press Kit (EPK) and ask an industry expert all your burning questions. 
• Until 25 September: See ‘From Rigidity to Freedom’ in our Gallery of Young Art (GoYA). The artwork explores the creative journey of 23-year-old autistic artist and author Ruby Biggs, whose artmaking has become a form of regulation, grounding and self-expression.

To wrap up the month, young finalists and guests will come together to celebrate the 2026 Boroondara Youth Awards. Stay tuned as we announce winners across categories including youth leadership, environment and sustainability, creative arts and volunteering.

Discover the Youth Hub

Need a place to hang out? Drop into our Youth Hub in Hawthorn any time of year to hang out, relax or catch up with friends.

The Hub is for young people aged 10 to 25 and is open weekdays from 12 pm to 6 pm, or during school holidays from 10 am. 

There's plenty to do, including Nintendo Switch gaming, table tennis, board games, a recording studio, a pool table, a computer lab, free Wi-Fi and even a lizard called Risky!

You can also use the Hub to catch up on study, just hang out or get support and advice from our experienced youth team.
