We’ll be hosting an event designed by and for Autistic young people later this year.

We’re inviting Autistic young people to take part in a unique co-design project to create an inclusive event.

This is a great opportunity for Autistic young people to:

  • connect with peers in a supportive and creative environment
  • work together to create something meaningful
  • make a real impact on their local community
  • be heard by local government and help shape future inclusive initiatives in Boroondara.

Who can apply

We're looking for Autistic young people who:

  • are between the ages of 16 and 25 (if the person is under 18, they'll need parental or guardian consent to participate)
  • feel comfortable working in a small group
  • live, work, study or are part of a program in Boroondara
  • are available to attend 3 in-person workshops on a Tuesday.

If you know a family member, friend, neighbour or community member who might like to get involved, please let them know about this opportunity.

How to get involved

Let us know you're interested by filling out this short form.

You can fill out the form if you are:

  • an Autistic young person between the ages of 16 and 25
  • the parent, guardian or caregiver of an Autistic young person.

Your time commitment

Workshop participants will join us on 3 Tuesdays 27 May, 10 June and 24 June from 4 to 6 pm. The workshops will be held at the Boroondara Youth Hub in Hawthorn. You must fill in the short form before attending.

Everyone at these workshops will get to share their ideas and feedback to help plan the event happening later this year.
