Our Quarterly Performance Reports track our progress of financial and non-financial issues. They also share the progress we've made towards our strategic goals set out in the Boroondara Community Plan 2021-31, which guides our annual work and budget.

There are no quarterly reports for June as we produce the Annual Report at the end of the financial year.

Quarterly Performance Report March 2024–25

At the end of Quarter 3 (January to March 2025), our financial position remains steady, with a surplus of $92.14 million, above the year-to-date budget by $13.26 million. This positive result reflects our commitment to financial responsibility and efficient resource management.

In line with what you told us was important to you in the Boroondara Community Plan (2021-31), we set out to complete 33 major initiatives this year. Thirty of these initiatives are advancing well and are expected to be finished before the end of June.

Some highlights from this quarter include:

  • The renewed JJ McMahon Memorial Kindergarten as part of our early childhood facility renewal program. The kinder officially re-opened on 27 February.
  • Planting more than 130 new trees in Columba Street Reserve, Balwyn East. This is after successfully advocating for funding from the North-East Link Program.
  • The completed construction at Willsmere Sports Pavillion. The new pavilion has been upgraded to improve accessibility and better meet the needs of the community.

Overall, we are well-positioned to deliver what we planned to do this financial year.

This report provides a detailed summary of our progress in delivering:

  • 19 Strategic Indicators
  • 33 Major Initiatives
  • 56 Local Government Performance Reporting Framework (LGPRF) indicators.

Our Annual Report for the Financial Year 2024/25 will be available after its adoption in October.
