Our Quarterly Performance Reports track our progress of financial and non-financial issues. They also share the progress we've made towards our strategic goals set out in the Boroondara Community Plan 2025-35, which guides our annual work and budget.

There are no quarterly reports for June as we produce the Annual Report at the end of the financial year.

Our latest Quarterly Report (July to September 2025) measures performance against the Boroondara Community Plan 2021–31, as this reporting period occurred before the new 2025–35 Plan was adopted in October 2025.

Quarter 1 Performance Summary

At the end of Quarter 1 (July to September 2025), our financial position remains steady, with a surplus of $189.73 million, $4.15 million or 2% higher than budget. This favourable variance is primarily due to differences for income and expenditure across Council as well as due to the striking of full year annual rates in August 2025.

In line with what you told us was important to you in the Boroondara Community Plan (2021-31), we set out to complete 54 major initiative activities this year. Fifty one of these initiatives are advancing well and are expected to be finished before the end of June.

Some highlights from this quarter include:

Canterbury Sportsground pavilion completed, delivering modern, accessible facilities and inclusive changerooms to support local clubs and encourage women and girls in sport.
Final consultation on the Boroondara Community Plan 2025–35 completed, with community feedback shaping the plan ahead of its adoption in October.
Strengthened community inclusion and celebrated young people and artists through key achievements, including ‘Youth Fest’, the successful expansion of Kew Court House Live, Young Leaders Day and the 2025 Boroondara Youth Awards.

Overall, we’re well-positioned to deliver what we planned to do this financial year.
