We are committed to providing creative experiences for young people and families through a year-round program of exhibitions, tours, workshops and online resources for primary students. Our education team offers teacher resources to inspire students and meet curriculum outcomes.

Boroondara Library Service children's collections and programs encourage a lifelong love of reading from birth to primary school. Knowledgeable library staff are on hand to help develop early literacy and language skills in a fun and enriching environment.

A program facilitated by qualified early childhood educators. Children enjoy a range of indoor and outdoor activities. Childcare subsidy available (CCS). Runs on weekdays from 9 am to 2 pm (5 hours) — cost: $100 per session (less CCS, if applicable), or from 8 am to 5 pm (8 hours) — $135 per session (less CCS, if applicable). Must be a member to enrol (​$30 full or $15 concession).

Sumi-e is the ancient art of Japanese brush painting. Traditionally, paintings feature subjects from nature, such as flowers and birds.

You will learn to feel and capture the meaning of objects from nature with your interpretation then you will express the objects variously with brush pressure, rhythm, tones and confidence in your strokes. There is much more to creating an image during the process of Japanese ink painting; it is also meditative practice.

All materials including brushes included.

Camberwell 'Speaking Made Easy' is part of a women's national organisation that helps members develop communication skills and confidence. Practised and impromptu speaking activities are offered at the monthly meetings, which are small, friendly and supportive. Feedback is positive and encouraging.

Our U3A is a welcoming environment that aims to provide learning opportunities and social interaction for retired and semi-retired members of the community. We hold activities from Monday to Friday each week. There is a wide range of classes and activities on offer and presenters are drawn from both outside and within the member group. We run over 70 full year courses – languages, exercise and walking groups, literature and film groups, music courses, art classes, extending your thinking sessions, history groups and travel presentations. These are all led by member tutors. Plus more than 80 short courses each term presented by local, interstate, and international lecturers.
