We are a club that provides friendship and a range of activities suited to older people who want to join in social activities and meet new friends.

We are a small club with a current membership of 32 that we are seeking to increase by about 50%. Being small we have far more interaction between members than in the large Probus Clubs and despite our size, several very active interest groups.

Except for December, our meetings are held on the third Monday of the month from 10 am to 12 pm and usually include an interesting Speaker, followed by an optional lunch at a nearby cafe. Other activities and outings include local and longer excursions to places of interest, book club, walks, and cinema, theatre and craft groups. At least 2 “special” lunches are held during the year.

Membership costs are currently $70 pa, plus a $15 joining fee.

A welcoming and inclusive space where families can drop in for a play with other families in the local community. Membership includes access from Monday to Thursday and facilitated Monday playgroup featuring cooking and science activities. Members are also able to hire the facility at a reduced price for weekend children's parties. Cost: $80 for a 6-month membership or $160 for a 12-month membership.

Chatty Cafe is a program that recognises how the simple act of having a chat over a cuppa can really brighten someone's day. It encourages connections in the community by getting people talking to one another.

The Alamein Neighbourhood & Learning Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) provides social support activities for local residents aged 65 years and over. Assistance may be available with transport.

Social Support Group: Mondays and Wednesdays 10am – 12pm.

Activities include:

Armchair travel
Coffee outings at local cafes
Information sessions
Guest speakers
Gentle exercise
Chair Based Yoga: Thursdays 11am-11.30am

We meet on the third Friday of each month (December and January excluded) from 10 am to 12 pm. A short formal meeting is followed by a presentation from an interesting speaker. Our U3A is a welcoming environment that aims to provide learning opportunities and social interaction for retired and semi-retired members of the community. We hold activities from Monday to Friday each week. There is a wide range of classes and activities on offer and presenters are drawn from both outside and within the member group. We run over 70 full year courses – languages, exercise and walking groups, literature and film groups, music courses, art classes, extending your thinking sessions, history groups and travel presentations. These are all led by member tutors. Plus more than 80 short courses each term presented by local, interstate, and international lecturers.
