Yarra Bank Reserve – park area

Yarra Bank Reserve is suitable for casual social gatherings, picnics, weddings, small events and children's play.

The reserve is a lovely spot to relax by the river. It has private rowing sheds and launching facilities.

Before you book
You can book a grass area in the park for your exclusive use.

We require at least 5 full business days notice.

You can apply to bring:
– up to 30 chairs and 2 tables
– a marquee or arbour covering up to 30 square metres.

Public facilities are free for all park visitors to use. They are not included as part of a booking.

Grass area with some fallen leaves and several medium-sized trees casting large shadows. There is a small tree to the left and more trees in the distance.

Content components

Parking and transport

There is angle parking on Creswick Street. The number 48, 75 and 109 tram stops are across the road from the reserve.

Booking times

7 days including public holidays.

April to October: 8 am to 6 pm.

November to March: 8 am to 8:30 pm.

Accessibility

A wheelchair-accessible barbecue is located at the north end of the Reserve.

Booking fees

Space	Fee
Alexandra Gardens, Canterbury Gardens, Surrey Gardens	$170 per hour (includes exclusive use of the rotunda). Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
Central Gardens, Wallen Road Reserve and Maranoa Botanic Gardens	$170 per hour. Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
All other parks and gardens	$170 per 4-hour block. Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
Event bond	minimum $200
