The park is suitable for celebrations, casual gatherings and children’s play.
Its open grass areas and large trees provide a great atmosphere and plenty of shade.

Before you bookYou can book a grass area in the park for your exclusive use.We require 5 full business days notice.You can apply to bring:– up to 20 chairs and 3 tables for events– a marquee or arbour covering up to 30 square metres.Visit our Before you book an outdoor space page for more information.
Public facilities are free for all park visitors to use. They are not included as part of a booking.
There are no public toilets at South Surrey Park.

The gardens are 2.1 km from Canterbury train station. The number 70 tram stops on Riversdale Road, a short walk from the entrance on Verdun Street.
